Das von der EU-Kommission geplante Teilverbot neonikotinoider Pflanzenschutzmittelwirkstoffe ist umstritten. Die Hersteller Bayer CropScience und Syngenta haben dazu gemeinsam einen Fünf-Punkte-Aktionsplan zum Bienenschutz vorgeschlagen.

In Deutschland bekämpft man die Grüne Gentechnik und fordert höhere Preise für mehr Lebensmittelqualität. Das eigentliche Problem sieht man, wenn man über die EU-Grenzen hinausblick: die Sicherung der Welternährung, die nur mit mehr Agrar-Technik gelöst werden kann.
