Eine im Auftrag des Schwedischen Finanzministeriums erstellte Studie besagt: Der Verzicht auf GV-Zuckerrüben, -Canola und -Kartoffeln bedeutet einen Verlust von "2,25 billion € per year for the EU" und "33 million € per year for Sweden in particular."

Da in Deutschland eine Koexistenz von Grüner Gentechnik mit konventioneller Landwirtschaft nicht funktionieren könne, lehnen die Experten der EVLKA sie ab.
